If you are thinking about hormone Replacement therapy , you’re not alone. Women everywhere are looking for answers. When they can’t find them, they look to their gynecologists for help. As of 2019, there are an estimated 78 million baby boomers. Over 47 million of them are women experiencing discomfort from menstruation to Menopause. They all suffer the loss of libido and much more.
We are more accustomed to talking about Bioidentical Hormone therapies. Especially in the treatment of Menopause and anti-aging. Bioidentical hormone products are derived from natural sources of plant hormones. These hormones match the chemical structure of those produced by the human body. The premise is our body can’t distinguish the difference. Also, that is, from the hormones your ovaries already produce on their own.

Every person experiences symptoms of menopause differently, and the timing of when symptoms begin and end will vary from woman to woman. Some women experience a gradual decline in hormones over time, while others experience a more abrupt transition. For some women, the symptoms may disappear completely after menopause. For others, symptoms may persist for months or even years after menopause has officially ended. There is not currently a cure for menopause; however, many women find relief from the symptoms by addressing their diet, exercise, supplements, and other lifestyle changes.
Natural hormone treatment happens in many forms. Injections, creams, gels, transdermal application, and oral supplements, to name a few. They all allow the body to replenish hormones. To be specific, the hormones are lost during menopause, perimenopausal and postmenopausal state. These treatments help with the side effects of estrogen loss. The benefits of menopause therapy are many. They address the following medical conditions:
Low bone density
Heart condition(s)
Reduced skin elasticity
Reduced muscle tone
Increased body fat
Cognitive decline
Restoring hormonal loss
In its entirety, natural hormone replacement therapy (HRT) aims to restore lost hormones. Sometimes these get lost through time, environmental conditions, and diet. Are you experiencing menopausal symptoms? Are you interested in getting natural hormone replacement therapy? Many women like you can regain normalcy in their lives through proper hormone alignment.
Menopausal Hormone Therapy in may include the following hormones:
Estrogen (Estradiol)
Progesterone
Testosterone
DHEA
Pregnenolone
Thyroid
Human Growth Hormone (HGH)
In women’s health, menopause is a stage of life where the body makes less estrogen and progesterone hormones. Lower hormone levels may lead to symptoms like:
Hot flashes
Night sweats
Vaginal dryness
Mood swings
Thin bones
There are multiple ways to treat menopausal symptoms, the most prevalent treatment is Hormone Therapy. Therapy consists of using FDA-approved hormone medicines to reduce the symptoms. However, you shouldn’t opt for hormone therapy if you have the following:
Vaginal bleeding
Uterine, ovarian, or breast cancer
Blood clot problems
Suffered from a stroke or heart attack
Cardiovascular diseases
Liver disease
Allergic to certain hormones
High blood pressure
There are different types of hormone medicines used during and after menopause:
Estrogen-Only Medicines: Alora (Skin Patch), Cenestin (Pill), Delestrogen (Injection), Estring (Vaginal Insert), EstroGel (Gel), Estrace (Pill/ Cream).
Progestin-Only Medicines: Prometrium (Pill), Provera (Pill).
Combination of Estrogen and Progestin Medicines: Activella (Pill), Angeliq (Pill), Climara Pro (Patch), Combipatch (Patch), Femhrt (Pill).
Combination of Estrogen and Other Medicines: Duavee (Pill)
Research suggests that particular selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) could be useful in reducing menopausal hot flashes. Low-dose SSRIs may be particularly beneficial for women unable to take estrogen due to existing health conditions or those with a mood disorder who require an antidepressant. Over-the-counter medicines like Brisdelle, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor, and Prozac can help alleviate the symptoms of menopause.
Estrogen therapy may be used to treat vaginal dryness, which is commonly associated with menopause. This type of therapy is delivered directly to the vagina through a cream, tablet, or vaginal ring. It releases only a minimal amount of estrogen, which is absorbed by the vaginal tissues, helping to alleviate any discomfort associated with intercourse and other urinary symptoms.
Gabapentin has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to treat seizures, and recent research has indicated that it may also be effective in reducing hot flashes in women who cannot use estrogen therapy or who experience nighttime hot flashes. Medicines like Neurontin, Gralise, and Horizant can be helpful for some women.
Clonidine medicines (Catapres and Kapvay) can also relieve menopausal symptoms. It’s usually found in pill or patch form to treat high blood pressure and relieve hot flashes.
Antidepressant is thought to provide relief from hot flashes and night sweats and tackle mood changes in women.
The exact physiological mechanism that contributes to the efficacy of antidepressants remains unknown. However, research has shown that estrogen depletion during menopause is linked to a decrease in endorphin levels. Endorphins are neurotransmitters known for their ability to reduce stress, regulate emotions such as happiness and euphoria, and provide pain relief.
The decline of estrogen levels during menopause can have a direct effect on the production of endorphins, resulting in a significant alteration of the body’s temperature set point. This often leads to an overreaction from the body when the internal thermostat is thrown off-balance, resulting in hot flashes or night sweats.
Research has suggested that women with pre-existing depression, alongside hot flashes and night sweats, may experience improvement in their symptoms if treated with antidepressants. Such treatment has been linked to reduced frequency of hot flashes, as well as an enhanced capacity to cope with their corresponding mood and depressive symptoms.

The premise is our body can’t distinguish the difference. Also, that is, from the hormones your ovaries already produce on their own.
The term bioidentical has become a catch-all phrase for anything that is not a synthetic hormone. But, these are only bioidentical when mimicking the biological process, too. There are undulating or wavelike rhythms of the hormone levels in a menstrual cycle. Bioidentical hormones mimic this cycle in a healthy young woman. It is this natural rhythm that is missing from synthetic hormone replacement therapies.
Cool hot flashes: Women experiencing hot flashes may want to consider dressing in multiple layers, drinking a cold glass of water, or moving to a cooler environment. It is important to identify potential triggers of these episodes, which may include hot beverages, caffeine, spicy foods, alcohol, stress, hot weather, and even warmer temperatures in a room.
Get enough sleep: It is advised to limit caffeine intake as it can reduce sleep quality. Additionally, drinking too much alcohol should be avoided as it can disrupt sleep. To ensure restful sleep, exercise during the day but not in the immediate hours leading up to bedtime. If hot flashes cause interference with rest, it is wise to consider management methods prior to attempting to fall asleep.
Exercise regularly: Regular physical activity on most days is recommended in order to reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other age-related conditions.
Plant estrogens (phytoestrogens): Two main types of phytoestrogens exist: isoflavones and lignans. Isoflavones are found in a variety of items, such as soybeans, lentils, chickpeas, and other legumes. Lignans, on the other hand, occur in flaxseed, whole grains, as well as some fruits and vegetables. These estrogens can also be naturally found in certain types of food.
The efficacy of estrogens in food as a means to relieve menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes has yet to be definitively proven. Though some studies have indicated weak estrogen-like effects from isoflavones, those with a medical history of breast cancer should consult their healthcare provider before supplementing their diet with isoflavone pills.
Black cohosh: Black cohosh has risen in popularity among women suffering from menopausal symptoms. However, there is scant evidence to suggest that the supplement is effective and could potentially cause harm to the liver. Additionally, it is not recommended for those with a risk of breast cancer.
Acupuncture: Recent research findings have yet to demonstrate a significant or consistent improvement in reducing hot flashes through the use of acupuncture. Further studies are necessary to explore the potential efficacy of the practice.

Hot flash treatment can include estrogen replacement treatment in the application of lotions, oral supplements, or trans dermal patches. Estrogen and natural hormone therapy treatments are commonly used to curb hot flashes and night sweats. Also, they provide women with more estrogen to protect against bone density loss, fatigue, muscle mass loss, and even mood swings. What are some of the early menopausal symptoms in women in their mid-age experience? The majority of women 40 and older will most likely bring up hot flashes.
In fact, WebMD says, “More than two-thirds of North American women who are heading into menopause have hot flashes. They also affect women who start menopause after chemotherapy or surgery to remove their ovaries.” Menopause is a natural process women experience after the ovaries have stopped producing eggs and reduced producing the hormone estrogen. During this time, women will experience symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes as a result of low levels of estrogen produced in the body.
Our hormone Specialists specialize in hot flash treatment and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Please contact us today to schedule your consultation and let us treat your hot flashes!

Now people are so busy they no longer understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Fatigue and lethargy are two common complaints among adult people. Are you affected by enduring and continuous stretches of physical stress? What about mental or emotional stress? If so, has it been for prolonged amounts of time? Have you developed any of the following symptoms?
Chronic Fatigue
Depression
Lethargy
Arthritis
Allergies
Fearfulness
Tiredness
Insomnia
Always worn-out
Lack of concentration
Reduced memory
Frequent influenza
Can’t-lose weight
Fibromyalgia
The adrenal glands are on top of the kidneys
Many disorders affect the glands
Adrenal glands are crucial for homeostasis
When the glands get overworked, they stop producing enough hormones
There are a few supplements sold over the counter for adrenal fatigue treatment. But some of these might be dangerous. Hence, it is imperative that you schedule a visit with a qualified physician. The most common alleged symptoms of adrenal fatigue are tiredness, salt craving, and loss of body hair.
In the human body, there are two adrenal glands, and they’re located on top of each kidney. The adrenal cortex is the outer section of the gland. It produces cortisol and aldosterone. The adrenal medulla, which is the central section of the gland, produces adrenaline and norepinephrine.
The glands and these hormones are responsible for many vital tasks:
Managing the “fight or flight” stress-related response
Glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids regulate salt and water balance
Manages and indicates the beginning of sexual maturation through puberty
Maintains pregnancy
Supports our metabolism (also includes blood sugar levels and inflammation management)
Adrenal fatigue is a condition in which the adrenals have been overworked to the degree that they can no longer secrete adequate cortisol levels for optimal function.
Potential stressors include environmental and dietary influences, as well as anxiety and emotional stresses. Experiences such as grief, trauma, and autoimmune diseases are considered to have a possible chronic negative impact on adrenal function.
Adrenal insufficiency, also known as hypoadrenalism, is a condition in which the adrenal glands are unable to produce sufficient amounts of the hormone cortisol. This can be caused by adrenal gland dysfunction or damage or by a loss of function in the pituitary gland, which is responsible for sending signals ( via ACTH) to the gland to stimulate cortisol production.
Patients with adrenal insufficiency may experience confusion, dehydration, weight loss, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or other medical condition. Blood pressure or blood sugar may be low. Adrenal insufficiency is diagnosed through several blood tests and can be treated with steroid-based medications to replace the deficient hormone cortisol.
Adrenal fatigue (not to be confused with Addison’s disease) is a condition that can be characterized by general feelings of fatigue, low energy, and fatigue after just a short period of exertion. Other symptoms may include mental fogginess, muscle pain or weakness, insomnia, and weight gain. If you think you may be experiencing adrenal fatigue, it’s important to talk to your doctor to rule out any other potential causes of your symptoms.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue, it is important to talk to your doctor. While there are many different things that can cause general tiredness, adrenal fatigue is treatable. Taking of your mental health is a great way to lower your stress.
Recovery from HPA Dysfunction or adrenal fatigue can vary in length, depending on the severity and duration of the condition. It can normally take between 3 months to 2 years.
Emotional stress is the most common trigger for adrenal stress, followed by diet and then hidden stressors. Treatment involves identifying and removing or reducing the stressors and correcting any hormonal imbalance or nutritional deficiencies.
Here are some things you can do to cure your adrenal fatigue fast.
IV Vitamin Therapy
IV vitamin therapy, also known as IV infusions, is a convenient and hassle-free way to recover from the symptoms of adrenal fatigue.
The IV treatment plan delivers a combination of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients straight into your bloodstream. This can help reverse deficiencies you might be experiencing due to adrenal fatigue.
By taking an IV vitamin infusion, your body will receive the essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that it needs to heal quickly. This therapy provides your body with the necessary building blocks to repair any damaged cells.
Consume a meal within an hour of waking
One simple step you can take is to eat a meal within an hour of waking up. This will help to give your body the energy it needs to start the day and fight off any fatigue.
Avoid processed foods
One of the best things you can do is to avoid processed foods. These foods are typically high in sugar and other unhealthy ingredients that can tax your adrenal glands and make your fatigue worse. Instead, focus on eating whole, unprocessed foods that will give your body the nutrients it needs to recover from chronic fatigue.
Eat more fruits and vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are packed with nutrients that can help fight symptoms of adrenal fatigue. They’re also a great source of antioxidants, which can help protect your body from stress. So make sure to include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet if you’re trying to combat fatigue.
Consume vitamin B supplements
Vitamin B helps the body to produce energy and cope with stress. It can be found in foods like poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy. You can also take a Vitamin B supplement to make sure you are getting enough of this important nutrient.
Include protein & magnesium
If you’re struggling with adrenal fatigue, you may want to consider adding protein and magnesium to your diet. Protein provides the building blocks for adrenal hormones, while magnesium helps to regulate stress and energy levels. Including these nutrients in your diet can help to ease the symptoms of adrenal fatigue and give you the energy you need to get through the day.
Get an adequate amount of sleep
Make sure you’re getting enough sleep. Lack of sleep can exacerbate fatigue and make it more difficult to recover from. To get enough sleep, aim to get 7-8 hours of sleep every night and avoid working or using electronic devices in bed. If you have trouble falling asleep, try drinking chamomile tea or taking a relaxing bath before bed.
Skip high-impact exercise
If you’re feeling fatigued, it’s best to avoid high-impact exercise. Your adrenal glands are responsible for producing hormones that help your body deal with stress, and when they’re not functioning properly, you can end up feeling exhausted. Stick to low-impact activities like walking or yoga and give your body the rest it needs.
Avoid caffeine-based drinks
Caffeine is a stimulant that can exacerbate symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Therefore, it’s best to avoid caffeine-based drinks like coffee, tea, and energy drinks. Instead, focus on getting plenty of rest and eating a balanced diet.
Breath in the fresh air
We all know how good it feels to breathe in fresh air, but did you know that it can also help alleviate fatigue? That’s right – simply spending time outdoors in nature can help to reduce stress and tension and promote relaxation. So next time you’re feeling run down, take a break and head outside for some fresh air. Your body will thank you for it!
You might have the condition if you are experiencing one or more of the following:
Lightheadedness
Brain fog
Sudden weight loss
Skin discoloration
Loss of body hair
Always tired
Salt and sugar cravings
Caffeine dependence
Issues falling asleep and waking up
Thyroid problem

There is no specific way to diagnose this illness, and clinicians use different types of tests and methods to see if a patient has adrenal fatigue. While some providers suggest that blood samples are the only way to diagnose it, others use “stimulation” tests.
